What Can You Do?
The time for Kansas to act is NOW! The Kansas Legislature is currently in session (starts in January and usually runs approx 90 days). Legislators won't act unless their constituents demand they do. The best thing you can do is contact your State Legislators. You can find your State Representative and State Senator in the contact list below.
This plan will be moving through committees and passed back and forth between legislative chambers. In this process, the name and some details may change.
The best thing you can say to your Legislator is:
"There is a tax reform plan moving through the Legislature this year. It is based on the Fairtax plan and would eliminate the income tax on individuals and corporations. Other states are pushing for this plan and you need to help pass this reform in 2013 to keep Kansas competitive".
