SUBJECT: Chinese Fire drill in Washington DC

How about this Chinese Fire drill gong on in Washington DC right now? We are witnessing 535 guys doing 
their dead level best to be the smartest guy in the room. The solution to financial services 
industry dilemma is easy! Easy in the extreme.

Doctor Dale Jorgensen, Head of the Harvard School of Economics has estimated that about $10 trillion, 
yep that’s Trillion with a “T” of American dollars are currently held in offshore accounts owned by 
American Corporations, personal fortunes and the like.

He also estimates that about half of that money would return to the United States during the first year 
following passage of the FairTax. I think he is right and probably a little too conservative in that estimate.

Fix the tax code and that banks will be able to stand their own losses.

I would guess that about $2 Trillion of those offshore dollars would return to our banking and 
financial system in the first 90 days after implementing the FairTax. This will without a doubt provide the 
liquidity necessary to sustain our system and let the idiots who stuck their face in the 
mortgage “buzz saw” do their own bleeding.

I have never voted for ZZZZZZZZZZZ but I do correspond a lot with him; mostly me bashing him

SUBJECT: Perfect Hindsight, a backward glance into the future

Americans are learning that their friendly politicians have found once again that they are not 
smart enough to anticipate the risks of their legislative ambitions.

The law of unintended consequences is part of every legislative item.

It is time for politicians to understand that those who earn the money are in a better position to 
spend their money than their friendly politicians.

I believe our friendly politicians have done the best they know how to do, and this is what we have gotten, once again.

The Fair Tax is an answer to the current problem.

Supposedly, banks own homes which are upside down on the mortgage.   
At lower prices would be home owners are willing to buy.   So what is the problem?   
Are we concerned that a bank is going to lose some money and fail?  
No we have seen several banks fail in the past few weeks.   
More banks will fail in the future.   

Are we concerned that investors who invested in derivative products are going to lose money?   
No they assumed risk, and their judgment about value may have been wrong, and if it was, they will lose money.

So why not open these mortgages up to the public and see at what price the public will buy these mortgages, 
instead of creating a bail out for Wall Street and the derivative crowd?

Once the homes sell, Wall Street would have a known price for their derivatives,

It seems simple enough to me.

Under the fair tax, there would be no sales tax to the home buyer.   
Under the fair tax, interest rates would decline, making it less expensive for the home buyer.

Politicians need to create a level playing field and get out of the way.

The idea of social engineering fails every time it is tried.

Having housing provided to those who can’t afford the home is a cruel joke to those who end up 
being victimized by well meaning politicians.

Why not have businesses invest in productivity so that these future home buyers’ incomes can go up 
and they can then afford the homes based on their future financial status?

Having a business to big to fail is a bad idea. 

We need to decentralize power.

The money needs to stay at home. 

Millions of decision makers spending their money for their wants and needs create gradual change in our economy.

Hugh spending by a few well intentioned politicians based on the ideas of the smartest folks in America continues 
to make really big swings in our economy when they get it wrong, as they have repeatedly in my life time.

We have been dealing with the bad actors after the 1974, 1982, 1987, 1997, 1998, 2001, and the current 2008 stock market corrections.    
Each time the government bails these bad actors out with an expansion of the money supply.

Each Washington based solution is more money being printed to bail out the financial system, spreading the risk 
to those of us who have savings and investments.   Our money is devalued.   Those who have lived within their means are 
the only ones our friendly politicians can come back to, because in the end we have the wealth in America.

The only way to deal with bad judgment is to have those who make bad decisions suffer the consequences of their behavior.

If you build in the flood plain, you will get flooded from time to time, and you understand that.   
Why government has to bail you out is a curious idea.

If you make a bad investment decision, you lose.   Government is not going to bail you out.   
I understand lawyers think of this situation as an opportunity to make a living, but the individual who makes 
the decision should not be able to look back with perfect hindsight and claim victim status.   

Markets fluctuate.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ, as a politician who I plan to vote for, I hope it is your intention to make it your objective to vote to 
create a level playing field, to include the fair tax.    

It would be interesting to see Main Street and Wall Street treated the same.  No special tax advantages. 

The tax code has victimized the American public long enough.
We don’t need legislation designed to entrap tax payers and then find that a politician has snuck in an exemption 
for his or her political interest group who supported him or her in the last election.

Do the right thing.

If it is fair for your Mother or Father, it is fair for the rest of us.   If they earned it they should be allowed to spend it.   
Taxing Social Security benefits is a double tax.   There are too many problems with the current tax code to enumerate.

Learn about the fair tax and you will see it addresses major problems in the way we do business in America.

SUBJECT: The Flat Tax is not a solution

Frequently the Flat Tax is suggested as a solution for our broken Income Tax. 

Our Income Tax system is fundamentally wrong because it penalizes financial success and 
rewards those who can escape paying taxes. 

The Fair Tax solves the fundamental problem that capital is flying out of this country and 
taking with it jobs and expertise. 

The collapse of Wall Street is the culmination of years of losing the capital our economic engine has been creating. 

The Flat Tax is nothing more than our same Income Tax system with the tax rates adjusted and different deductions. 

The Flat Tax does not stimulate the economy by giving the middle class an instant tax free 
raise and cannot fund Social Security and Medicare. 

The FairTax does both. 

Enormous amounts of capital will return to the US with the FairTax and right now our American companies could us it.
